Welcoming Troy Bannister as our new Venture Partner to expand our focus into the healthcare industry.
The healthcare industry is undergoing a significant transformation driven by exponential advancements in technology and science. To capture this opportunity, we are excited to welcome Troy Bannister, Founder and former CEO of Particle Health, to Conversion Capital as our newest Venture Partner. We first met Troy back in 2019, when we invested in the seed round of Particle Health. Over the years, Troy along with his team, built Particle into the leading healthcare data and interoperability platform relied upon by dozens of healthcare companies for clinical data exchange. He brings a unique point of view across backend infrastructure, the evolving healthcare technology stack, regulatory shifts, and company building.
Over $1.8T is spent in the healthcare industry due to poor system interoperability, infrastructure and misaligned incentives. Looking towards the intersection of regulatory change and technology advancements points to opportunities in modern IT infrastructure, increased efficiency and improved patient outcomes. Themes like patient identity, leveraging or building novel APIs, FHIR utilities, advanced analytics/AI, the integration of newly available solutions to create new, better experiences and healthcare-specific developer solutions.
